Sarah Ann Downing 

January 23, 1989 – September 6, 2021 

Sarah Ann Downing, 32, of Norwalk, OH, passed away Monday evening, September 6, 2021 resulting from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  

Sarah was born in Norwalk, OH on January 23, 1989 to William and Shelly (Wade) Heidl.  

Sarah was a 2007 graduate of Western Reserve High School. Her caring, loving heart led her to pursure a career in nursing. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from the Ohio State University and worked as a Registered Nurse at Stein Hospice and the Cleveland Clinic. Sarah had a wonderful personality and easily made friends. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Nashville and Disney World. Sarah loved her two dogs, Apollo and Daisy.  

Sarah is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Jonathon Downing; parents, William and Shelly (Wade) Heidl; brother, Robert (Deidre) Heidl; nephew, Chris Heidl; niece Liz Heidl; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joy and David Downing; 2 sisters-in-law, Erin and Kelly and many other nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.  

Sarah was preceded in death by her beloved son, Elliot, whom she lost in infancy; paternal grandparents, Robert and Helen Heidl and maternal grandparents, Jim and Wilma Wade.  

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 10 am until the time of funeral service at 12 pm at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
