Tammy Barnett, 60, of Greenwich, the beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023. Tammy was born on April 28, 1963, in New London, the daughter of Paul and Claudine Blair.
There are so many words to describe Tammy, but the first that comes to mind is loving. She loved with her whole heart. Whether it be her husband of 45 years, or her children, grandchildren, relatives or friends. She was very much the matriarch of her family. Always there to lend an ear, offer guidance and keep the family running smoothly.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, bible study and traveling with her husband, making pit stops all along the way. Tammy loved her animals, especially her special dog Raina but most of all she loved her family. She was a devoted, loving mother, always there for her children.
She is survived by her loving husband and soulmate Monroe Barnett; children, Nathan (Andrea) Barnett, Adam (Erin Castle) Barnett and Brittany (Oakley) Taylor; many grandchildren, Logan (Kalie) Barnett, Dalton Wilson, Kylie Wilson, Dakoda Wilson, Skyler Wilson, Aiden Taylor, Amber Taylor, Devon Muirhead, Ava Barnett, Paige Barnett, Reese Barnett and a great grandchild on the way along with several aunts and uncles. Tammy was preceded in death by her loving father, Paul Blair; son, Travis Barnett and grandson, Hunter King Charles Barnett.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 11, from 2 – 8 p.m. at The Messiah House of Prayer on Pettit St., Shiloh, where her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 12 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jesse Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh. Memorial donations may be directed to the family to assist with funeral arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
