Vikki L. Church

Milan, Ohio – Vikki L. Church, 74, of Milan, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio, after a 52-year battle with Ovarian Cancer.  She was born January 4, 1947 in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late William B. and Ivalynn R. (Ford) Church, and was a lifelong area resident.  Vikki was a 1965 graduate of Western Reserve High School.  

She was the founder and owner for 30 years of Vic’s Catering, and Vic’s Sweets.  Vikki also co-owned the Wash and Glo Detail Shop, and was the former manager of the Rye Beach Deli.  She was a former employee of P.J.’s Restaurant, and Amoroni Italian Restaurant in Huron, Ohio. Vikki was a longtime supporter of the Erie County Relay For Life, and as co-captain and member of the “Pink Lady Team” helped to raise over $165,000 dollars for the organization.  She was determined to prevent cancer from running her life and dedicated many hours towards prevention and a cure.  Vikki was a co-sponsor of the Annual Boat Cruise on the Goodtime 1 for the American Cancer Society.  She was solar powered, enjoyed nature, fishing, and sports.   

Vikki is survived by her partner of 36 years, Jill Graves of Milan, Ohio, by her sister, Beverly Morrison of Frazeysburg, Ohio, by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Claire Church, and by her sister, Patty Ludwig.  There will be no calling hours or service.
