William Miller Obituary

Bill Miller of Norwalk, Ohio passed away on Monday, April 6, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.

Bill was a 1959 graduate of Willard High School and attended Kent State. He enlisted with the Army Reserves for seven years and worked for Ford Motor Co., ACH in Sandusky. He was the project manager with Hill’s Interiors in Norwalk for many years. He loved his time as a greenskeeper at Eagle Creek Country Club, after retiring from Hill’s. He made friends with whomever he met and strove to make someone smile every day.

Bill loved attending the sports and activities of his grandkids. Always with a caramel in his pocket and a hug for his girls. He baked the best sugar cookies and bread for us. He taught us how to fish and appreciate nature. He received great joy from birding and gardening. He loved golf and was able to go to the Masters in Augusta with his son. He loved his grandchildren and was often holding his grandson close. Thank you dad, for inspiring our sense of adventure to get in the car and go! To make these five words why ,what, when, where and how our favorite words. To respect nature and pick up the litter, and for teaching us to make someone smile every day.

He is survived by his daughter Betsy (Greg) Pajak, Avon OH, son Brett (Grace) Miller, Charleston, SC. Granddaughters Paige, Sophia and Olivia. Sisters Mercedes Geiss and Barbara Snook of Willard OH and many nieces and nephews who loved him.

Preceded in death by his parents, Mary (Cubbedge) and Gaylord Miller of Willard, his brother Gaylord Miller Jr. and his Grandson Matthew Pajak.

Per Bill’s wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial will be held at a later date. Burial will be at St Joseph’s Cemetery in Avon, OH. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Norwalk City Schools Special Education department  or a charity of your choice. https://gofund.me/dcdcda4c.  Online memories may be expressed at the funeral home website: www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com
